Small hole in the wall next to Souvla that you will miss if not looking for it. Been a few times and never disappointed. Had most of the tacos: fish, asada, chorizo, cochinita, pastor...all of them are great and solid price for sf. Friendly staff and rarely a wait.

Wow, their breakfast burrito is great! It has the perfect crunch from the tater tots and bacon bites, which pair well with their green sauce and orange spicy sauce. I would skip the breakfast tacos; they're pretty heavy and messy. It's a casual spot with parklets outside. The service is pay-at-the-cashier, then find your own seat. I will be back to try different items.

Took a walk with our dog and decided to get a light snack. Ordered three tacos and chips/salsa. Tacos were terrific! Had a perfect amount of lettuce, making the overall taste light but tasty. Definitely going back to check out other items in the menu. Cochinita was soft and tasty. The green hot sauce has a little kick and perfect with the tacos. Perfect on a sunny day with the outdoor seating shared with the adjacent restaurant.

The plantains and the rice came out pretty well and pretty quick food was delicious and Fresh. As far as the service the lady was pretty nice she had great verbal communication and nonverbal communication As far as the ambience the environment was pretty clean pretty detailed looking and fairly new cell customers were kind of like on numbers but the food is pretty good so on the foods good people usually follow The next Best Thing as far as trendz

This is a little "hole in the wall" but clean and well lit. You walk in and order at the counter. Our order taker was very friendly and she helped us to pick out traditional conchinita tacos, panucho, and torta de conchinita. Tacos- wonderful. The al pastor was flavorful! Torta-well stuffed with lots of pork. The panucho (never had one before) - crispy corn tortilla fried and stuffed with beans topped with lots of chicken, lettuce, pickled onion and avocado-was fantastic Also enjoyed a refreshing Jamaica-just the right sweetness.

Excellent Mexican restaurant in the Marina. I stopped in spontaneously on a Sunday afternoon after my workout class. I got a chicken soup. My partner got a coffee and breakfast tacos. ~$30 for the two of us. Not bad for the Marina. The soup completely exceeded my expectations: super flavorful but light broth, an entire chicken leg that falls off the bone, picked onions, tortilla strips, I was completely full after finishing the bowl. Good value for $12. I will definitely add this to my regular rotation. If you are trying to decide between Tacolicious or Las Metizas, come here. The food is tastier and more budget friendly. Friendly service, too!

Finally, real Mexican food in the Marina!! We had a wonderful lunch at Las Mestizas yesterday and were happy to seeing Yucatán/Mayan regional influence on the menu - cochinitia pibil (slow-cooked bbq pork), poc chuc (thinly sliced citrus pork chops, grilled), panuchos (fried tortillas filled with beans). It was so hard to pick! I opted for the Mayan enchiladas, which had a healthy serving of their very tasty cochinita pibil and my husband had what he described as "the best fish tacos I've had in NorCal." Their tortillas are handmade, which is notch above most Mexican spots. The service was excellent, the staff answered all our questions, brought us our food and drinks outside and chef came out to chat with us for feedback. They also have a permit transfer pending for beer and wine too, so will have more to offer soon. But truly, the sign of a good Mexican restaurant...the chips and salsa were freshly made and perfectly executed. My only one wish is they the rice had more flavor, but most Mexican places don't do rice well so it's not a huge deal. We're so bummed we moved to another neighborhood now, but we'll be back again for seconds and thirds!! We want this place to stick around.

Five stars for the homemade tortillas in the tacos here! I actually don't believe I've ever had homemade tortillas in SF so this was awesome! I ordered the cochinita (pork) which is what they're known for but the asada and pollo were also solid. Each taco is $6 which is definitely on the pricier side but I think justified by the homemade tortilla. That said, I think the tacos could have benefited from more salsa and onion/toppings. The shop was very empty when we went Saturday dinner time. Inside was clean and they were playing traditional music. Service was great too!

Always on the lookout for regional Mexican cuisine, we stopped in recently for a late lunch. I've tried a few Yucatan specialties before but you don't see them very often so yay.. excite! We shared a sampler platter, and that alone could have been plenty as it had a pork tamal, a chicken tosada, a small cheese and a small meat empanada, a panucho and a salbute (both kind of like variations on a tostada). All on the smaller side but still it was an abundant amount of food. However, we had also already ordered a plate of cochinita pibil to share so we each made ourselves a little taco from that (with fresh tortillas) and took the rest home. Everything was very tasty and I liked the optional salsa that was provided as well. It was not too spicy with good, fresh flavors that complimented everything and didn't overpower. Service was fast and the staff is very kind. We found parking within a block or two. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

A new quaint Mexican restaurant in the marina! Newly opened on Feb 20, 2023. My friend and I stopped in for dinner on Wednesday night after this restaurant seemingly appeared out of nowhere. We asked the waiter which chicken dishes he would recommend, and ended up ordering the Escabeche (chicken soup) and Pollo Asado (roasted chicken). Both were great! The chicken was soft and juicy, and fell right off the bone. The Escabeche was especially delicious, and is definitely great on a cold rainy night. The waiter was extremely nice and split our soup into two bowls, and cut our chicken in half. Las Mestizas is a great place to sit and chat and enjoy some Mexican food. They serve breakfast as well- excited to go back and try that menu!
